Elizabeth Potts LCSW
Elizabeth specializes in working with adults who suffer from co-occurring disorders (substance abuse and mental health), depression, anxiety and adjustment disorders. She uses evidenced based practices such as Solution Focused Brief Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Stages of Change and Motivational Interviewing. She believes everyone has the capacity for change and will work with individuals on meeting their treatment goals. She uses tools and therapies to help individuals become more self-reliant and improve their quality of life.
Elizabeth is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker who graduated in 2002, with a Masters is Social Work, from Marywood University in Pennsylvania. Prior to that, she earned a Bachelor of Science Degree, from Pennsylvania State University, in Rehabilitation Education. She has worked in the addiction and mental health field for over 35 years. She is an Internationally Certified Advanced Alcohol and Drug Counselor. Prior to moving to Florida in 2009, she worked as a therapist and manager for several outpatient case management and addiction treatment programs.
