The word is Papillion is French for butterfly and refers to the large upright ears with long tuffs that give the appearance of a butterfly. Many old paintings of Queens or Royalty have toy spaniels sitting on their laps.
Zoey was born in the Spring of 2007 and is full grown at eight pounds. She has been trained in basic obedience, does some tricks, and is a natural therapy dog. She knows not to jump up next to someone without an invitation but if you call her, she will sit quietly next to you during your therapy session. Many clients find her presence calming and enjoy petting her during their sessions.
