Shaima graduated from Nova Southeastern University with a Master’s degree in Mental Health Counseling. She is a Licensed Mental Health Counselor and Certified Addictions Professional. She has worked at Crossroads and DACCO as a substance abuse counselor.
Shaima has over nine years of experience in working with individuals and couples with a wide variety of emotional difficulties as well as addiction. She has a passion for her profession and it shows in her work.
Shaima’s therapeutic style is genuine, creative and empathetic. She takes an eclectic approach because she believes that each client needs an individualized treatment plan designed to meet his or her unique goals.
Shaima believes that we all experience difficult emotions, sometimes it is hard to express the way we experience these emotions; therefore it is imperative to truly hear what one is saying in order to help them receive the gift of therapy.
